In chapter three we have been introduced to two new characters, Gabe Ugliano and Sally Jackson.
There have been many adjectives used to describe both Sally and Gabe in this chapter. Please find at least two adjectives to describe Smelly Gabe, not using Smelly, and with those adjectives tell me why the description fits from evidence that you find in the text.
Once you finish with Smelly Gabe, please tell me why Percy thinks that his mother Sally Jackson is the most unlucky person in the world using evidence from the text. Can you think of a time when something terrible happened to a really good person? Conversely, do bad people have good things happen to them? Please explain and give me examples in your explanation.
For homework, each of you comment on at least one classmate's blog making sure that every single one of you has at least one comment from another person on your post.

The god or goddess I would like to be in "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief"
Please choose one god or goddess from Rick Riordan's website on meeting the Greek deities http://rickriordan.com/extra/meet-the-greek-gods/. For example, you may have chosen Zeus to be king of the gods and have the lightning bolt, or Athena to be the goddess of wisdom. After you have chosen a deity that you wish to be, please tell me why you have chosen them and how you would use their powers in your life today in a short paragraph. Once you have finished your entry, please look at the entries of your classmates to see what their choices are. You may be surprised at what they chose, so please let them know what you think with a comment or two, but remember to be polite!
